Politics: concern for week past among journeymen-shipwrights following attempt to reduce their wages from 3s/to 2s6d/day (pre-war rate), which they opposed. They quit work the other day & formed association to prevent ships from going down river. Magistrates intervened. Only a few ships they favoured allowed down river
