Law: on Monday, an inquest was held on the supposed body of an infant enclosed in an earthen jar found in a garden near Upper Bristol Road turnpike. Crime: by order of Sir G. O. Paul, bart., J.P. - one Cook was put in stocks at Minchinhampton for 6 hours for drunkenness & robbery taking 1s 6d from Thomas Avery.
