Politics: Bill for preventing abuses in Public Office - Mr Wm. Pitt noted 2 clerks in the Navy Office each with salaries of ú200 p.a & ú2,000 p.a in gifts. Lord North's expenses inc ú340 for whip-cord, also repairs of his Lordship's house in Bushy Park had cost the public an enormous sum. Lord North denied accting improperly or extravagently.
