Politics: Rt Hon Lord Mayor of London was brought under a writ of Habeas Corpus by coach with support of large crowd to Court of Common Pleas yesterday morning. Lord Chief Justice & 3 others agreed the House of Commons the highest Court of Judiciary in the land & every Court was Judge of its own contempts, thus the Lord Mayor should be committed in the Tower (London, 23 Apr).
